Sports Day 2015-16

Sai Holy Faith High School held 19th Annual Athletic Sports Meet at Bhumiputra Kridangan, Sector 23, Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai. It was spectacular sight to watch 2100 students performing various acts in perfect sync and coordination signifying team work and delivering true spirits of sportsmanship. The event began with a welcoming of the Chief Guest Shri Shivram Patil Coprorator of Koparkhairane, Navi Mumbai, and Guest of honur Ms. Monica Nathani Times NIE, Mumbai Head inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp corresponded with March Past. It was a stirring movement for the audience as the school Head Boy and the head girl carried the flag along and performed the March Past. This was followed by the oath taking ceremony where the Chief Guest declared The Sport Meet Open and crackers were burst. Principal Ms. Sadhana Singh was present along with the chair person Ms. B. Singh, heads of various sections, Head Mistress Ms. Smita Sharma and many other dignitaries present from the vicinity. The lighting of the torch ignited the passion of sporting spirit and was carried by students of STD X. the synchronized March Past parade of four contingent house was delight to watch. The welcome address by student of STD I Mast. Yash Devle was just beyond imagination and was cheered by thunderous applause After salutation and March Past, it was time some breath taking displays put up by students of both primary and secondary section. With the help of props like flowers, cap, ribbons, and colourful costume, the students managed the capture the attention of the audience. The Athlete had much to cheer during the Inter-House Relays and Tug-of-war among the four houses. The students cried themselves hoarse in support of their respective houses. On this occasion Guest of Honour Shri. Vitthalrao More shared his thoughts in his speech and appreciated the colourful programme showcasing teams spirits. The essences of sport. The day concluded with final March Past and distribution of trophies for March Past and discipline. Cash prize awarded to Boy and a Girl Athlete by the trustee Mrs. Lata Sham. The ballons was let by the Chief Guest and other Guest of honour with the message SAVE GIRL CHILD. Sport is held after every one year in our school. Our displays with various formations have always been appreciated. Our school has a history of note worthy championships in various sports who have won at international levels. We have been successful in implementing compulsory news paper reading habits in our school. Chairperson Ms. B. Singh commented that putting of a show of this magnitude, involving 2100 students within a span of 20 days is indeed commendable.
